If you are known for being an AI early adopter or tech-savvy, head over to Rapid API now to try our latest updates! We are launching our Plagiarism and Readability APIs in response to educators’ growing need for tools that help them protect the educational integrity of the assignments they review, and for media professionals and writers who want to know if someone else has been using their texts without giving credit.
Not only that, but we also want you to try and test them by yourself, so you can share some feedback with us. But you might be wondering: what exactly are these APIs? Here’s a brief explanation:
Text Reuse & Plagiarism Detection API
This API helps you detect whether a text is original or has been copied from any other source. Our API uncovers any instance of text reuse in seconds, becoming the perfect ally for those who work in the education sector, such as teachers or professors and also professionals in the media sector such as journalists, writers, bloggers, or publishing houses, that want to know if their texts have been reused.
What is more, our API doesn’t just detect plagiarism: it also distinguishes between 3 different levels of plagiarism:
- Exact Matches (Literal Duplicates): content copied exactly as-is from the original.
- Loose Matches (Paraphrased Variations): lightly rephrased text.
- Semantic Matches (Deep Paraphrasing): core ideas or meanings borrowed, even if the words have been heavily changed.
For levels 1 and 2, our API supports all Latin-alphabet-based languages. For 3, only English.
Additionally, this API is easy to use, with a flexible integration with educational tools, publishing systems, or content verification services.
Readability
With our Readability API you will be able to know if your text was easy to read, or if it needs some improvement. We understand that this concept is very broad and that it depends a lot on the context. This is why, we give you statistical scores as well as different metrics that you can take into consideration.
This API is very useful for educators who review their students’ texts, and media professionals, bloggers, or writers who want to get to their audiences better. The results of this API are given with different metrics, here you can learn more about them.
Like the Text Reuse & Plagiarism Detection API, this one is also easy to integrate with other tools for content creation, education, and more.
Stay tuned! Very soon, we will add new functionalities apart from our Plagiarism and Readability APIs. For example, fact-checking. Genaios Universe keeps growing, thanks to people like you.
